Entry fee and working hours

The cost of entering this beach in 2024 is about 500 liras, which is reduced to 300 liras on some days, and the entrance for children under ten years old is free. By paying this fee, you can also use sunbeds, umbrellas, showers, and toilets for free.

This beach is open every day from 9 am to 6 pm, and you can visit this beach during these hours.

My experience visiting Ata Beach & Cafe Restaurant

Some people think that Ata Beach is the same as Florya Beach in Istanbul, but I must point out that this is not the case. Although these two beaches are located next to each other, they are managed by different people.

I have visited both of these beaches, and I can say that Floria Beach has more facilities and is better than Ata Beach, although I also recommend visiting this beach because of the lower entrance fee.

I didn’t know before going to this beach that this beach is a family beach and single men are not allowed, so I gave some money to the lady who was walking around the entrance to come with me to the beach so that they would let me into the beach.

I had some food with me to eat when I was hungry, but when I entered the beach, they took it all from me because it is forbidden to bring food from outside into the beach, and you have to buy whatever food you want from the restaurant inside the beach.

Ata beach like Florya Beach has golden and soft sand that is pleasant to walk on. The beach is vast, and there are many sunbeds that you can use. One of the positive points of this beach is that it is not crowded in the middle of the week.

After I entered the beach, I chose a sunbed and put my things on it and went to the changing cabins and put on a swimsuit to swim in the sea, when I realized that I didn’t have slippers with me, I quickly went to one of the shops that was selling swimwear and bought a pair of slippers so I could walk on the beach easily.

After purchasing slippers, I entered the sea to swim. Unfortunately, I have to mention that there was a lot of algae in the seawater, which made me unable to enjoy swimming there.

The seawater was calm, and there were not many waves, and it was not very deep, so even children could swim there.

After swimming for a bit, I went back to the beach to lay on the sun lounger and sunbathe when I suddenly noticed cigarette butts on the beach. In some parts of the beach, there were cigarette residues, which made the beach ugly, which, in my opinion, is the weak point of this beach.

I lay down on the sunbed for a while and watched the ships in the sea from a distance. On the beach, different music was played in other languages, some of which I liked, especially Turkish songs.

Ata beach restaurant

There is also an indoor restaurant on this beach where you can go when you feel hungry. The restaurant on this beach is not expensive, unlike the restaurants on other beaches in Istanbul, and the price of the food is fair. For example, pizza costs 400 liras, soup 90 liras, and Ayran 50 liras. On some days, beer is also sold there, and you can buy a glass of beer for around 200.

The quality of the food in this restaurant was acceptable, and I rated the quality of the food 7 out of 10.

Access ways to Ata beach

To reach this beach, just take suburban line b1 and get off at Florya station. Then, you can reach this beach with a short walk.

One of the advantages of this beach is the good behavior of the staff with the visitors, which makes you feel comfortable there. If you are looking for a quiet and secluded beach to spend a few hours with your family, be sure to visit this beach.
