Before visiting this shopping mall, I had watched numerous videos on YouTube about it and realized that this mall is among the most luxurious shopping centers in Istanbul. It is located on the Asian side of Istanbul, in the Ümraniye district.

By asking local residents, I learned how to get to the mall and reached it using public transportation.

When I arrived, I found a seven-story shopping mall, including four main floors, a ground floor, and two basement levels. This center offered a unique space for shopping from well-known international and Turkish brands such as English Home, H&M, Defacto, Mavi, Mango, Penti, and LC Waikiki.

Since I had an interesting experience at this mall, I decided to write this article to share my impressions about the quality of the goods in its stores, their prices, and other facilities available in the mall.

Based on the information I gathered during my visit, I found out that approximately 136 brands have branches in this mall. Since the number of stores is quite high, I was only able to visit some of them. Below, I’ve listed a few of the most notable ones:

My Shopping Experience and Interaction with the Sales Staff

During my visit to the shopping center, I remembered a promise I had made to Alex, the 5-year-old boy who lives next door. I had promised to bring him a toy car as a souvenir. By chance, I came across Toyzz Shop on the basement floor. With the guidance of the salesperson, I purchased the Cars 3 Single Character Vehicles – Hty03 Van Campbell for 284.99 TL with a 5% discount. The package contained three toy cars. The salesperson’s assistance in finding the product was relatively good, but they only allowed me to test the car briefly, repeatedly emphasizing that the battery might run out, which I found unpleasant.

I had gone to the shopping center with the aim of buying souvenirs, and this time, it was my elder sister’s turn. She already knew about the Aker brand in Canpark Shopping Center and had specifically asked me to visit that store without hesitation. The shop, a women’s clothing store with a soft pink theme and a very clean environment, was quite appealing. My sister needed an Oil Quilted Coat, and considering her taste, I chose a teal-colored one. Although the store had discounts of up to 70%, my experience showed that some of these discounts were not entirely genuine.

In the end, I purchased the coat for 3,199.95 TL, but as I left the store, I was surprised to overhear another customer. She mentioned that promises from the sales staff about accepting returns should not be trusted, as they often come up with various excuses to avoid it.

Facilities and Entertainment at Canpark Shopping Center

During my visit to this shopping center, I noticed that, in addition to fashion and clothing stores, it also offers diverse recreational and cultural amenities, including a cinema, a children’s play area, a bowling alley, and international restaurants serving a variety of delicious dishes.

The Canpark Cinemas located in this shopping center provide a comfortable space for movie enthusiasts and offer a delightful movie-watching experience with features such as Dolby Atmos, VIP halls, and 3D screenings.

According to my research, Canpark Shopping Center has 12 cinema halls that can entertain 1,329 people simultaneously. To purchase tickets for the movie of your choice or check showtimes, simply visit the website www.canparksinemalari.com.

The Canpark Bowling Hall, located on the 4th floor of this shopping center, provides guests with the latest technology. It features 8 bowling lanes, allowing a total of 64 people to play simultaneously. Additionally, a special section with bumpers is designed for children to ensure they remain safe in case of falls.

If you are aged between 7 and 70, you can enjoy Canpark Bowling with your family and savor hot and cold drinks and snacks in the seating area while playing.

Restaurants in Canpark Shopping Center

Although I had visited all the floors of this shopping center, I didn’t feel hungry. However, I craved a flavorful drink to regain energy for the rest of my visit. For this reason, I stopped by Big Bubble Tea on Basement Floor -1. Its pink-themed décor gave me a unique sense of calm. I asked the salesperson to recommend an energy-boosting drink, and they suggested Berry Hibiscus, a combination of cranberry and tea. I paid 105 TL for the drink, and its excellent taste truly lifted my spirits.

Later, I noticed that most of the restaurants are located on the 3rd Floor, although there are also a few cafes and restaurants on the Ground Floor and Basement -1. If you’re looking for a greater variety of food brands, I highly recommend visiting the 3rd Floor.

Access and Opening Hours

Canpark Shopping Center is located in the Ümraniye district on the Asian side of Istanbul. Due to its central location in this area, it is considered an ideal option for public access.

If you are near Taksim Square, it takes approximately one hour by taxi to reach the mall. Alternatively, you can easily access it using the M5 metro line; simply get off at Yamanevler station and walk for 5 minutes to reach the shopping center.

Final Thoughts

Canpark Shopping Center stood out for its impeccable cleanliness, and the use of string lights made the interior look very luxurious.

While the prices in this mall were generally high, there were good discounts in some shops. The behavior of the staff varied—sometimes professional and courteous, and at other times indifferent or impatient.

Overall, I would recommend visiting this mall only if your hotel or accommodation is nearby. However, if you are staying on the European side of Istanbul, it might be better to visit shopping centers closer to your location, as reaching Canpark would require a longer journey.
