Price of the best baklava in Istanbul Airport
During my time in Istanbul, I bought baklava from both Istanbul Airport and the city center. Based on my experience, I realized that the price of baklava at Istanbul Airport is twice as expensive as in the city center.
For example, the price of 500 grams of baklava at Istanbul Airport is around 20 euros (650 lire), whereas, with 20 euros in the city center, you can buy one kilogram of baklava.
The Best Baklava at Istanbul Airport

Based on my experience with eating baklava in Istanbul, I must mention that the best baklava in Istanbul is from the Hafiz Mustafa brand. However, as I mentioned in the article “Hafiz Mustafa at Istanbul Airport,” there are no branches of Hafiz Mustafa at Istanbul Airport.
The second-best baklava brand in Istanbul is Karaköy Güllüoğlu. If you see this brand in the Duty-Free section of the airport, I highly recommend buying your desired baklava from them. However, if you cannot find Karaköy Güllüoğlu, I suggest you opt for walnut baklava, as it has a better flavor compared to other types.
My Experience with Eating Baklava at Istanbul Airport

Many cafes at the airport sell various types of baklava. I went to the Mado cafe to enjoy some baklava, where I bought two pieces of pistachio baklava along with a cup of Turkish tea to shake off the fatigue from my long flight. I paid about 200 lira for the two pieces of baklava and a cup of tea, and in my opinion, it was worth it.

I always enjoy gaining new experiences, which is why I’ve tried baklava with various things like tea, espresso, and ice cream. In my opinion, the combination of ice cream and baklava is one of the best pairings you can try in your lifetime. I recommend that you try this combination at Istanbul Airport—you’ll fall in love with it!

Final note
Buying and eating baklava is one of the fun things you can try in Istanbul, but keep in mind that each piece of baklava contains a lot of sugar, and overeating it can harm your health. I recommend that you avoid eating more than two pieces of baklava a day to prevent weight gain and avoid endangering your health.
