Buy Fake Nike Shoes vs Buy Original Shoes From Nike Outlet

There are numerous stores in Istanbul selling fake versions of popular brands like Nike at low prices. However, from my own experience during my stay in Istanbul, I realized that these cheap, fake clothes come with downsides that lower their overall value. For instance, these clothes wear out very quickly and may become unusable after just one wash. They might shrink, lose shape, or have their colors and designs damaged. Additionally, they often cause excessive sweating and body odor, making them uncomfortable to wear.
Now, you might be wondering, what’s the solution? How can you wear branded clothes on a budget? Based on my personal experience in Istanbul, I’ll share some answers to these questions with you.
What to Do Instead of Buying Fake Nike Clothes?
Table of Contents
Nike outlet stores are a fantastic option if you’re looking for original Nike apparel at affordable prices. These outlets offer a range of Nike clothing, sometimes even at half price.
At Nike outlets, you’ll often find single-size items or older models of Nike gear at significant discounts. I’ve bought several of my athletic outfits from Nike outlets at half the price and have been very satisfied with my purchases to this day.
There are several Nike outlets in Istanbul, and I’ll share my experience visiting them. Instead of buying low-quality fake Nike clothes, you can visit these outlets and purchase original items from your favorite brand at a lower cost.
Nike Factory Store Istanbul 212 Power Outlet

My first recommendation is to visit the 212 Outlet in the Bağcılar district on the European side of Istanbul. This shopping center has many stores, one of which belongs to the Nike brand. In this store, you can find a range of Nike products, from shoes to sportswear. However, the variety of products here might be slightly less than what you’d find in other Nike locations.
Below, I’ve included images of some products along with their prices for you.

Some items at this outlet are about 20% cheaper than in other Nike stores across Istanbul. However, keep in mind that certain products may not differ in price from other locations. That’s why I recommend asking the salesperson if your chosen item is part of any discount before making a purchase.
The Nike store in this outlet is located on the first floor of the 212 Outlet, at Unit 4. To get there, you can use metro lines M1B or M11 or take the B1 and B2 suburban lines to Halkalı Station, followed by a short walk to the shopping center.
If you’re in Taksim Square and plan to reach this outlet by metro, start on line M2 and get off at Yenikapı Station. From there, take the B1 suburban line toward Halkalı Station. This journey will take about an hour.
Visiting Hours: Daily from 10 AM to 10 PM.
Nike Factory Store Istanbul Olivium Outlet
Another Nike outlet is located in the Olivium Shopping Center in the Zeytinburnu district on the European side of Istanbul. I’ve visited this outlet several times, but I often noticed that items sell out quickly. This is because some people arrive in groups right when the store opens, grabbing all the discounted items to resell them later in their own stores at higher prices.
From my personal experience, new products are stocked every day at 10 AM in this outlet. So, if you’re planning to buy your favorite sportswear at a low price, it’s best to be there right at 10 AM to make your purchase as soon as the store opens.
As you can see in the image above, you might find that there are only a few items left on the shelves when you enter this store, and you may end up leaving empty-handed. This is because products here are sold at discounts ranging from 20% to 50%.
Below, I’ve included the prices of some of the products sold in this store.

To get to this shopping center, simply take the B1 suburban line to Kazlıçeşme Station. From there, it’s about a 1-kilometer walk to reach the mall.
Opening Hours: Every day except Sundays, from 10 AM to 8 PM.
Nike Factory Store Istanbul Venezia Outlet

This Nike outlet is located in the Gaziosmanpaşa district within the Venezia Shopping Center. To get there, simply take the T4 tram line and get off at Karadeniz Station. After a few minutes of walking, you’ll reach the mall.
The Venezia Shopping Center is designed to resemble the city of Venice, making shopping here a more enjoyable experience compared to other outlets. So, if you’re interested in both shopping at a Nike outlet and visiting a tourist spot, I’d recommend checking out this mall.
Keep in mind that prices here are slightly higher than at the Olivium outlet, and the product variety has decreased compared to previous years. However, it’s still worth a visit.

Final Thoughts
In my opinion, shopping at the outlets I mentioned above is a much better option than buying fake Nike products. When you buy fake Nike items, especially things like shoes, you risk harming yourself. These products aren’t designed ergonomically, and prolonged use could potentially damage your body.
By purchasing genuine Nike items at reasonable prices from these outlets, you’re investing in your health and ensuring that your purchases last longer. Fake products tend to wear out quickly, so going for the real deal is definitely worth it in the long run.
