My Experience at Torium Shopping Mall: Entertainment & Shops

One of my favorite activities while traveling to any city is visiting its shopping malls. Since I lived in Istanbul for a long time, I visited many shopping centers in the city, one of which is Torium Shopping Mall.

In this article, I intend to talk about this shopping center and share with you all the information you need before going there, such as working hours, access routes, the number of shops, prices, facilities, and entertainment options. This way, you can plan your visit to this mall properly and efficiently.

Shops at Torium Shopping Mall

In this shopping mall, various products such as electronics, jewelry, home textiles, kitchenware, cosmetics, women’s clothing, men’s clothing, children’s clothing, toys, stationery, food, and more are sold, all of which are of high quality.

To start, it’s a good idea to familiarize yourself with some of the most well-known brands that have branches in this shopping center, so you can see if your favorite brands are available here. My Experience Visiting Torium AVM

When I entered this shopping center, I was surprised because, unlike many other shopping malls in Istanbul, there wasn’t a large crowd. This was a pleasant experience for me as I could easily visit all the shops and various sections of the mall without facing any crowds or congestion.

I explored the different floors of the mall and noticed that it has six levels. The shops are neatly and systematically arranged next to each other, unlike some other malls in Istanbul. This organization allows you to visit every store with ease, without missing any of them. In my opinion, this is one of the positive aspects of Torium AVM’s design and structure.

All the stores have large spaces and are attractively designed. I visited most of them and made some purchases as well. Unlike shopping centers like Zorlu Center and Emaar Mall, the prices of products at Torium AVM were not very expensive. Most of the stores offered Turkish brands, with relatively fewer international brands present.

The most affordable brands available in this shopping center include Koton, LC Waikiki, and Mavi. If you’re looking for budget-friendly yet high-quality products, be sure to visit these stores. For example, the average price for jeans at these brands is around 1,500 lira, which I believe is well worth it considering the quality.

Facilities and Entertainment

Torium AVM offers a variety of entertainment options, with the main attraction being the go-kart track on the fifth floor. Since I’m a big fan of speed and excitement, I visited this section multiple times and thoroughly enjoyed it.

One important thing to note is that individuals under the age of 13 are not allowed to use the go-kart track, as they may get injured in case of an accident. The track is 2,700 meters long, and for a fee of around 500 lira, you can enjoy driving on this track for 8 to 10 minutes.

Another exciting entertainment option for adults at this shopping center is bowling. If you’re visiting with family or friends, I recommend dedicating at least half an hour to Atlantis Bowling and competing with each other. This game can be a fun and thrilling experience for everyone.

If you’re visiting Istanbul in the heat of summer and looking for a cool spot, I recommend the Snow Park at Torium. This snow park, with its various attractions like sledding, can keep you entertained for hours and offer you a unique experience of winter fun in the middle of summer’s heat.

When I entered the snow park, I stored my belongings in a locker and put on the warm clothes they provided me to avoid getting cold during my visit. There, I first went sledding, visited the igloo house, and even played basketball. These activities kept me fully entertained for about two hours, and I really enjoyed my experience.

If you’re visiting this shopping center with your children, I highly recommend checking out the snow park, as your child will definitely love it.

If visiting the snow park isn’t an option for you and you’re looking for a suitable activity for your child in this shopping center, I recommend checking out Smart Play. Smart Play is a play center for children that features a ball pit, small arcade games, and painting classes. This space can keep your child entertained for hours and create joyful moments for them.

If your children are a bit older and you’re seeking more thrilling activities instead of Smart Play, I suggest you definitely visit Star Park. Here, they can enjoy games like arcade games, air hockey, a haunted tunnel, a roller coaster, zero-gravity attractions, and a gondola ride. Since I visited this shopping center alone, I couldn’t try the games in this section, but I encourage you to check it out; it’s definitely worth it.

Another activity in this shopping center that I absolutely loved is Flyzone. Here, you can defy gravity and slide down from a height, which is sure to get your adrenaline pumping. This thrilling experience brings joyful moments and gives you an incredible sense of freedom.

There is also a cinema on the upper floors of the shopping center that I haven’t visited yet, but from conversations with people who have been there, I learned that it is one of the highest-quality cinemas in Istanbul. This cinema regularly screens the latest Turkish and international films, making it a delightful experience for cinema enthusiasts.

Cafes and Restaurants

On the upper floors of this shopping center, there are various food courts that serve a range of fast food and Turkish dishes. If you feel hungry after shopping, I highly recommend visiting BURSA KEBAP EVİ for a delicious döner kebab. The flavor of this kebab is so delightful that you’ll remember it for years to come.

Location and Access

This shopping center is located in the Esenyurt district on the European side of Istanbul, approximately 30 kilometers from Taksim Square. Unfortunately, there is no metro line in this area, so I used a taxi to get to the shopping mall, and I recommend you do the same. This is the easiest and fastest way to access Torium Shopping Mall.

The shopping mall is open every day from 10 AM to 10 PM, and you can visit during these hours.

In Conclusion

If you’re staying in Istanbul for a short time, I wouldn’t recommend visiting this shopping center since it is located far from the city center, and getting there may be difficult for you. However, if you plan to spend a longer time in Istanbul, definitely check out this shopping mall and enjoy the entertainment and facilities it offers. This center provides you with unique and exciting experiences.
